History

The District Training Centre was established in an extent of 2.1 Acre of land situated towards eastern side of District Police parade ground. A.P State Police Housing corporation started constructing of DTC on 17-10-2008 with an estimated cost of Rs. 66.2 lakhs, for Galvanized Iron sheet fencing for compound Rs. 5.2 lakhs, for 04 pre-fabricated barracks of Rs. 38 lakhs, (each barrack measures 20 X 60), a major portion in one barrack is being used as dining hall and another portion as an office / staff room. Another one barrack is used as class room. Remaining two barracks are being used for accommodation. Later another one barrack was also constructed by the Dist., Police, which is also being used for accommodating the trainees. 35 Nos Toilets, 05 Bath Rooms & 04 Water tubs and sentry post 23 lakhs. The above pre-fabricated structures were handed over to the department on 02-01-2009.

The District Training Centre initially was established with a view to provide accommodation for 144 trainees (36 trainees in each barrack) at a time. A separate shed was constructed for installation of Mineral water Plant provided by Chief Office, Hyderabad and now it is catering the needs of the trainees. One 12 KV diesel Generator supplied by the Chief Office has been installed in the District Training Centre in a separate shed. But as on today it is not functioning. A 6½ inch capacity Bore well with Submersible pump set is installed and it is functioning well.
